In the framework of the exhibition of the modern Nordic children literature a series of meetings and workshops with authors, experts and illustrators are organized. All events are divided into three thematic weekends dedicated to literature in general, translation and illustration. On 5th October 14.00 the illustrator and graphic novelist Anders Kvammen will carry on the workshop on comics.
Anders Kvammen (1985) is an artist and graphic novelist from Oslo, Norway. He primarily makes self biographical comic stories with influences from underground comics.
His first graphic novel Ungdomsskolen, published by Norwegian No comprendo press, won Brageprisen for best book for young adults of the year, and was also nominated to the Nordic council literary award.
He currently works on his second graphic novel Job. Job will be published in the spring of 2019.
The workshop is designed for illustrators. During the workshop Anders will tell about storytelling in the comics. Participants will have to make a one-paged story telling about daily life experience.
All materials are included.
